Light in weight and easy to use. Much superior to the heavy steam irons.

Generates static so fabric clings to it as you iron.

A nice light iron with easy to use dial, enough cable and space to wrap it round the iron, Nice slim pointed end. Not the hottest iron I have ever used I must say, but just about adequate. But it has a very strange problem I have never met before in all my 69 years of which most have been spent ironing [I started young!] It builds up static and causes even 100 pure cotton fabrics to cling to the sole plate so as you lift the iron off to attack a new area of the garment ...tea towel..whatever, the fabric tends to be moved and folded over so you must re-straighten it. This happens with damp or with bone dry laundry. I suspect the special streamline pattern on the sole plate may even be a bit abrasive as the iron is getting dusty unusually quickly and the dust looks like fabric dust as it matches the colours I have ironed. I have only ironed a few items with it so it must be really quite abrasive. I will have to develop a new method to cope, always moving the iron away from the bulk of the fabric before lifting off. How intensely annoying. I think I will have my lovely old dry iron mended.
