OLED4K UHD OLED Android TV

This has been an excellent purchase, the quality of the picture is superb and the ambilight is awesome in a smaller location such as where we have it. Sound is solid and set up was straight forward.

Great picture and resolution. Sleak stylish look, same with remote. Beautiful backlighting. Speakers on the back are quite good. There are some problems, which are outlined in my previous review. But they are mostly sorted now. I'm giving the tv 5/5 here, even tho it's just a 4/5, because I'm trying to balance out the one star that I gave a few weeks ago. I tried to delete the previous review, but it's not possible. Neither can Philips. Silly set up really. I logged into my Philips account but I can't even edit the review. Philips should change the website into a more interactive one.

Always liked the look of an ambilight TV so upgraded to this one. Easy to set up and get started, great picture on freeview HD and the SD picture is very good, very good viewing angle. Sound has lots of depth with good bass, ambilight works very well and watching other TV's now they feel like something is missing. Superb quality picture when playing a 4k disk. Easy to use the online features. Very happy with my purchase .

I have had amibilight Tv's for over ten years, and this model is the best yet, the picture quality is second to none, even the sound is not that bad for such a small framed tv, powered by Android it covers all you app needs, personally I would have had alexa as the default choice of voice control, but this control can be added manually. Couple this TV with some hue bulbs and strip lights, and you have the perfect Immersive OLED TV.

Picture is incredible, especially when using HDR. Sound is fantastic too. Ambilight function is great - really adds to the viewing experience. Be aware that this TV needs to be 15cm+ away from the wall to get the full benefit of Ambilight. So if wall hung (like mine) it may be just that bit too close to get the full effect.

Couldn't be happier with my purchase of Philips 806, fantastic picture quality, Ambilight is excellent, sound is very good. Just waiting for Google update to get better.

Great picture and for its size unobtrusive. Some issues with sound vs picture lag in streaming content. System UX a bit clunky vs. Samsung but a significantly better picture than Samsung for comparable TVs.

I am really pleased with the picture on this TV and LOVE the ambilight feature, (I can't really comment on the sound as I have a soundbar attached) The only none positive thing I can mention, is that the remote control looks elegant but, it only lights up once you have pressed a Key, it would have been nice for it to to light up when you raise the remote, apart from that I'm really happy with my TV.

This is a fantastic TV but I'll mention a few niggles. Don't let them put you off, it is still a five star product: 1. The remote back is nice, but the front, which matters, is cheap and plastic. 2. The menus to get to various settings are not well configured. For example there is an Ambilight button to get to, you would think, Ambilight settings. But it takes you to some abbreviated Ambilight settings and you have to go the long way round to get to the key ones. 3. You can't change settings on the fly on some apps like iPlayer. If you try and change any setting it kicks you out of what you are watching and out of iPlayer back to the Android main screen. This makes it hard to make visual adjustments because you can't see the results on what you were viewing. 4. Playing files from a hard disk sometimes seems to struggle with slightly unusual aspect ratios if the film was mastered in one. For example a 1.66:1 film didn't display correctly whatever 'format' option one went for. You can make some manual adjustments, but frustratingly not fully correctly. For example it wouldn't let one compress the image at the sides, only expand the image at the top. So you lose some of the image to get the right aspect ratio. And it was guess work to get to the right aspect ratio even then. Quite niche an issue though that's only cropped a few times. Hopefully software updates might tackle 2, 3 and 4.

When I first go this TV I thought that it was suffering some of the software issues that are described in some of the reviews for the larger model. However, having contacted Philips about it - and having received excellent direction and advice from Christopher it transpired that these were down to: 1) A weak TV/Channel signal - and this TV no-longer requiring the interference filter that our previous one did; or 2) The default settings being over-sharpened (thus giving a pixelated 'line' around objects. One the sharpening was lessened the issue ceased. I now find the picture quality to be superb. My initial thoughts on the standard speakers were that they were very good - however, I have a surround sound system so I tend to use that all the time and therefore can't really give a more detail opinion on the built in system. The Ambilight makes Philips TV's stand out from the crowd and I find is an excellent addition and not just a marketing gimmick. I quite like the TV control - but I wish it had a proper battery door; the slide off system is not very intuitive. Finally, I wish they give you an option of a decent stand that raised the TV a bit as, on the standard feet the TV is positioned very low - and partly covered by any soundbar you may have.
