Philips AventPP Adapter ring for feeding bottles

I have loved using these bottles with my daughter, we have tried 4 different makes an this is by far her favourite. I have not had any problems with them until this morning when I got them out of the steriliser to make up her bottles and 2 of the rings had melted. I have always used the steriliser as per instructions. Luckily I have a few spare bottles but I have tried to look for the rings and they are expensive to buy separately. If this ongoing fault can be rectified I would recommend these bottles.

This product saved my sanity... Thinking i would never have an evening to myself as my daughter cried for no reason for hours on end from 6days until i was told she probably had colic at 18days. I went in search of anything that would help. Using Avent bottles from the start i put these in every bottle feed and as far as i'm concerned it has made the world of difference. She no longer cries every evening, is much happier through the day and at 5 weeks old is sleeping through the night. Thank you Avent

I am happy with the bottles but 3 out of the 4 rings melted in the microwave steriliser. I sterilise them all the same way I do every day and as I say only 3 out of the 4 melted. Now we have to buy some more so that we can continue to use the bottles but they seem to be a bit expensive .

We used the Avent bottles with the ring for my first baby - it's a bit of a faff but you quickly get used to it. Generally we were very happy with the bottles and microwave steriliser but at least half of the rings have developed a plastic bubble on the inside. It seems to have happened in the microwave steriliser, perhaps there was some water on them when I put them in? You have to bin them because if you try to use them milk leaks out of bottle when it's upturned. I'm going to have to buy some more for no 2 as we now have more bottles than rings. Unfortunately they seem to cost quite a bit for something so small.

I already had the classic bottles from my previouse baby and when I bought some more didnt realise the new bottles come with a new insert. I would not recommend them as not only are they extra work to clean and assemble in an already busy and stressfull reagime but if you forget to add water to your micro steriliser they will melt.

We had been really pleased with the avent classic bottles which we discovered when we got one as a sample with our microwave steriliser. So we bought several more as they are easy to use and suit baby nicely. We use the Philips avent microwave steriliser and also a plug in Philips steam steriliser. Not sure which caused the problem but reading the reviews above, it seems it may have been the microwave steriliser which we thought was specifically for these bottles. One of the rings has developed a bubble although none of the other parts, nor the other ring done at the same time, have been affected. I would be willing to pay £4 for three spare rings, although it's annoying that this seems to be an ongoing problem, but since the postage is a further £4, I shall be looking at other options.

I bought these bottles on the basis of the Avent teat size. The bottles in general have been great. The ring however, is a pain! The adapter rings have been fine in my plug in steriliser but melted in a microwave steriliser used by baby's creche. They are an extra to wash and keep an eye on! Without the rings, the bottle and baby trainer drinking bottle with handles that we own are rendered useless. I could not find the rings on the high street and will have to order more online at the cost of new bottles!
