It’s an excellent iron and the Phillips after care service is EXCELLENT-unexpectedly superb which is why I highly recommend it at every given opportunity

This steam generator definitely does cut down on ironing time. With lots of steam produced, curtains, jeans, bedding etc. are no problem at all. Obviously it emits considerably more steam than a regular iron and because the water is held in the base unit the iron is much lighter than a traditional steam iron as you are not having to move about a full container of water! You have full control over the temperature settings too. There is also a storage area in the base unit to house the cables so the iron is easy to put away. Overall this is a great steam generator.

I do a lot of ironing with two small children at home and I’ve been looking for something that can help me get the job done quickly and properly - this is it! The amount of steam generated is fantastic, you don’t get drops of water all over the clothes either, just a steady stream of steam which enables you to quickly and effectively get clothes ironed. There are several temperature settings which mean you can iron any item of clothing without fear of burn marks and the iron cycles through these temperatures really quickly. It’s also a really good size so you’re not burdened with needing a huge space to place it down, you’ve got the power of a professional iron but it fits perfectly in your home!

It provides faster ironing ,than any other iron I have use so far . It is great value for money and I would highly recommend it.It has continuous steam as well which is other plus!Love it so far !

It is light weight, which is a big help for me,because I have arthritis in my wrist and hands. I can iron anything without having to change the temperature. Unlike some other brands, you can use tap water instead of mixing it with demineralised water if you don't live in a hard water area, which I don't.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow ! This iron really did cut my ironing time down dramatically. The super powerful steam system allows creases to be gone after just one stroke . The iron itself is lightweight but the steam shot that it exudes is immense. It powered through a pile of cotton shirts which I’d usually take forever to get through - my ironing pile was gone in next to no time . I really wanted to see how it would manage a white linen shirt as linen has always been a struggle for my old iron - it once again amazed me at how the cresses were nowhere to be seen in only a few glides of the iron . The base is simple and easy to open and once filled will last for a lengthy ironing session. The only very small issue for me that I now need a bigger ironing board to feel confident that the base is sat securely as my current ironing board is quite small - but this is not an iron issue whatsoever with this fab item . I would highly recommend this iron to anyone who has a struggle to enjoy ironing - this will change your mind !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a busy working mum of a boy who constantly gets dirty, I have to say that having the Philips FastCare Compact Steam generator is life saving! Knock knock on the door and here I get my beautiful package, it's purple and looks so elegant. Inside there's special cardboard to hold everything in place, so that it stays intact. I've kept the box with the cardboard for when we move. Because I do a lot of washing and ironing, I just wanted to iron as soon as I got the steam generator out of the box. The instructions booklet is written very clearly plus with lots of pics, so it was very easy to start immediately. Now after using it for quite many times, I am impressed - especially by the iron. It is the lightest that I ever had (which is so great for the amount of clothes that I usually do) and the quality is superb. No need to repeat about the colours and overall appearance - one word only: classy. What I like a lot is that I don't have to fill the tank every now and then, filling once up to max (1.3 lt) is enough to do all clothes and even from the next load, but I personally find it easier to just fill it up up to max before I start and that's it. The iron is gliding perfectly and creases go away one after the other at the push of the boost button. Cord length is ok, not short not too long. Now the best feature: it tells you when you need to decalc and it's so easy to do it. Clothes come clean and nicely ironed at a snap, I am amazed. Storing is very very easy, wrap the cable around and secure behind. It doesn't take much space either, my cousin has another steam generator that is very bulky and she feels jealous for my Philips and how easy it is to store it. Did I say I love it? I love it. I am impressed. I can't find anything negative for this steam generator. I highly highly highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I can put 1.3 litres of water in the tank straight away. When I have a massive pile of ironing I have to top the water up constantly and it drives me crazy so 1.3l will be great and last me a couple of days at least. The iron itself was very lightweight which really helped me when I was doing a big load of ironing The iron had very good steam levels which really helped make ironing much easier. Even the more stubborn creases were easily removed with this iron
